EDHEC Open Leadership is the first centre dedicated to improving diversity and inclusion by transforming leadership in organizations.
The centre was set up as a response to questions raised by companies about the slow rate of progress on diversity. Our objective is to make our scientific expertise available to them in order to: 1) accelerate the pace of progress on diversity and inclusion; and 2) successfully complete the “managerial transition” incumbent on all organizations wishing to develop in a way that is innovative, sustainable and inclusive.
Open Leadership stands out from the usual initiatives on diversity by placing leadership and leadership transformation at the heart of this approach. We are convinced that embracing diversity and differences is not just about gender, age or background; it is above all about the way in which power is represented and practised.
